under and over the weather

For the first time ever, I think I am not a fan of fall.  It snuck up on us and the cold wet autumn leaves smacked me in the face before I was ready to wake up from a dreamy, warm summer.  I didn’t get to bid a proper farewell to summer, nor did I get enough Indian Summer days to last me through the chilly months.  I might actually accept the fact that it is fall in November, but for the rest of October, I am in denial.

To make the seasonal change even more exciting, Haven had her first cold, which she was kind enough to share with us.  Nothing major, no fevers, just runny noses, stuffy heads and crankiness.  Knock on wood, we will nip this thing in the bud and be back to our ghostly and goblin-y selves by the weekend.
