when i turned one…

…we didn’t have digital cameras, but Polaroids provided (almost) instant gratification.  High chairs were metal, not plastic.  And, brown paneling was the standard backdrop of many family photos.

Times have changed. My Granny Lettie is no longer with us. And my mom held on to that high chair for years before finally sending it to the dump.  But, I still have that Playskool Tubby Turtle over thirty years later. We let Haven play with it once, but it pooped in the water.  For the moment it is dry docked while we figure out what the ailment is.  The likely culprits are old age and deterioration, which may be irreversible. But, the red dress I am wearing is still in fine shape and Haven wore it well.

That is too cool that you and Haven are in the same dress as one year olds! I’d be careful with that turtle. Back then those toys probably had lead paint, and who knows what else!
